Vaastu - General Safeguards

The layout should be prepared with due care of all the factors as indicated earlier and location of different areas as shown in the image. The water body location be correct under all circumstances. Building may better be close to the southwest corner.

Following are the general precautions in all areas of the building:

1.      Window is not favorable when it is behind the bed head-board in the bed room.

2.      Window is not favorable when it is behind the fire place in the kitchen.

3.      Mirrors may better be placed on the eastern or northern wall wherever required. Mirror should not reflect yourself when on bed.

4.      Beds should be placed such that the head is in the south, or east or west, and never in the north.

5.      Slopes in all rooms or areas be better as planned in the plot i.e. from southwest to northeast, and so on.

6.      Beds should never be in the center of the room.

7.      Valuables can be placed in the south-west area with almirah door opening towards north, or a room north of the bed room can be used for valuables.

8.      The beds or cots should not touch the wall in general, i.e. the either sides of the bed should be free for going up or down the bed.

9.      The wife should normally occupy the left side of husband on the bed.

10.  Avoid bedrooms in the southeast.

11.  Avoid beds in the center of the room or under beams.

12.  Avoid a door in the south-west sector of the room.

13.  Heavy furniture, lofts and Almira are best on the south or west sides of the rooms.

Sharing of Facilities:

No facilities should be shared in your abode with your neighbor, even if it is one's immediate kin or relative or a close friend, especially the followings:

1.                  Underground or overhead water tank.

2.                  Well or swimming pool.

3.                  Sewerage system.

4.                  Partition walls, in the ground floor as well as in the top floor.

5.                  Front or backyards of the property.

6.                  Working desks.

7.                  Bed Room - Offering to your visitor - Yourself and your guest being married.

Sharing your happiness with your guests on occasions is auspicious, of course.
